"If you stay ready, you ain't got to get ready"

Yesterday was supposed to be "The Rapture" according to an 89 year old radio station owner.  He spent tons of money promoting and spreading the word of this day.  It was supposed to happen in each time zone at 6pm.  Well.  It is now 2:39 pm on Sunday, May 22 and I am still alive.  I've not seen any dead bodies littering the ground or anything unusual, so I'm guessing that he was wrong.  In fact I know he was wrong.  I'll give you one perfect reason that he is wrong.
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." ~Matthew 24:36
How can people that believe in God, Jesus and all things related to Him (including the Bible) not understand that He will not come back when people are expecting it.  He says the coming will be "like a thief in the night"... For any of you who have ever been robbed, I am sure you can attest to the fact that the robber didn't leave you an advanced warning of the day and time that they will be at your home.  When we least expect it is when He will come.

This is why we always say to be ready all the time.  Apart from Christ's second coming, you should be ready because this could be your last second on earth.  You could be reading this blog and die right now.  Don't wait until you think Jesus is coming back to get ready, you need to stay ready.
